Brewing Science and Food Microbiology Laboratory

This is a research and teaching laboratory for analytical food safety research and beneficial use of yeasts and bacteria in food and beverage fermentation. It has the capability of testing efficacy of food processing interventions related to food safety. It has pilot processing equipment and analytical instruments for testing variables in brewing of craft beers, including malt adjuncts, hops, yeast, and time temperature parameters of all brewing, fermentation, conditioning, aging, and packaging processes.
