Program Overview

The Nutrition and Food Science Program offers a wide range of academic coursework that can prepare students for employment or entry into graduate or professional schools. Concentrations within the major include Nutritional Sciences, Food Safety and Nutrition, Nutrition and Fitness, and Dietetics and Nutrition Management.

Coursework in Nutrition and Food Science includes core science-based courses, theoretical and practical training in specific skill areas such as nutrition counseling techniques, food safety, integrative nutrition and metabolism, and nutrition and the lifecycle. Electives allow students to tailor their program of study to their particular interests.
